What makes txtbuddies unique?

txtbuddies provides ad sponsored SMS. The ads we play subsidise the sending of your SMS messages. These appear as either a video clip in your browser or as a TXT tag at the end of your SMS message.

Effectively, you get to TXT for free where we have an ad sponsored region.

Where we don't have an advertiser in a destination region, you have the option to send your TXT message using credits. These can be purchased online, with the costs of a message varying between coverage regions.

Safety Online

txtbuddies only allows you to send to other txtbuddies subscribers.

Our community messaging approach means that only subscribers who have validated their mobile number during registration can use our service. And as the number of the Sender always appears at the top of each message, you'll know exactly who is sending the TXT.

This of course makes it just as easy to reply. Hit REPLY and your return message will go straight back to the sender's handset.

txtbuddies messages always include the Senders mobile number for easy identification.

Universal Contacts list

txtbuddies Contacts can be accessed anywhere online. Just login and all your Contacts will magically appear. This makes it very easy to TXT your friends from anywhere in the world.

If you look closely, you will notice that your Contacts list is colour coded. Contacts who have subscribed are shown in blue. These 'Blue Buddies' have validated their mobile number and can send and receive TXT messages across the txtbuddies Community Network.

Contacts who have not subscribed are shown in grey. These Contacts carry a pending status. Until they subscribe and validate their mobile phone number, they will not be able to send or receive a TXT message on the txtbuddies Community Network.

As soon as they subscribe their Buddy icon will change to BLUE and they are ready to go!

If many of your friends are still shown as 'Grey Buddies', we suggest you give them a nudge. Don't hesitate to send them an invite using our INVITE A FRIEND option or give them a shake when you next meet.
